Wig Referral
All patients with chemotherapy induced alopecia and
being treated by NHS Lanarkshire will, if they so decide, be referred
for wig fitting.
Your cancer team will give you the contact details of local companies
specialising in wig fitting. Once you have chosen the company you want
to use, inform your cancer team who will complete the appropriate paperwork
and send it to the wig fitter to let them know you are coming.
You will have to telephone the wig fitter to make your own appointment.
Please wait for 1 week after the paperwork has been sent (ask your cancer
team if you are unsure of the date) before doing this to allow for processing.
