NHS Lanarkshire Therapeutic Support in Cancer and Palliative Care

This service is based in Beckford Lodge in Hamilton. Jean Aitken, a professional Counsellor, staffs it. The service offers support and/or counselling aimed at assisting those affected by Loss and Grief.

The service offers help to those with cancer who have been bereaved; those with advanced cancer who are struggling with unresolved issues, feelings of isolation, or problems communicating their thoughts and feelings; Families or carers of those with advanced cancer; Bereaved family or carers of a person diagnosed with cancer; Those affected by a cancer related death.
